Neurological Foot Surgery

Foot deformity is characterised by fixed plantar flexion, that is, by walking on the toes.  The so-called “club foot” may cause:

  • Supination
  • Varus deformity of the foot
  • Toe flexion

Equinus deformity has been divided into three grades:

  • Grade 1: The equinus, varus and supination are mild. The varus and supination are correctable while the equinus cannot be reduced
  • Grade 2: The equinus, varus and supination can be partially reduced.
  • Grade 3: None of the three deformities can be reduced.
